I have been shooting Roller Derby for around 15 years...

I have been an IT guy a software developer and sometime lead for the last 30 years or so... I knew very little about roller derby until my kids got involved. I didn't know much about photography either but started shooting as a parent from the sidelines and I sucked. I did what most nerds do when they are bad at a new thing-- I read everything I could, asked a million questions and started taking classes (via Showcase then Atlanta School of Photography). SEVERAL years later I started shooting regularly (and pretty well) for AJRD and ATL. Around 2016 I started shooting officially and tried my hand at tournies. I found that those are the events I really love--especially those featuring borderless teams. I've had some great trips and made some great friends in the process. As my kids (now adults) have grown up and followed their interests I have had the priviledge to follow them and with any luck will be there should they take to the larger stage.

Yes I take headshots
